No prior experience is required. This course is designed to welcome complete beginners — whether you have never worked with data professionally or are stepping into Power BI for the first time. We build your foundation from the ground up. If you do have some Excel or data experience, your instructor will calibrate accordingly to avoid repeating what you already know.
Some familiarity with spreadsheets is helpful but not required. If you can open Excel and understand what a row, column, and basic formula is, you have enough foundation to begin. Our instructors fill any gaps as needed during the beginner phase of the course, so no one is left behind.

You will need Microsoft Power BI Desktop installed on your computer — it is free to download from Microsoft’s official website. A Microsoft account is required for the Power BI Service sessions. Your instructor will guide you through the installation and setup before your first class. Power BI Desktop is available for Windows only; Mac users will need a Windows virtual machine or remote desktop setup, which your instructor can help with.
Most learners complete the beginner-to-advanced journey over 10 to 14 weeks, attending two to three live sessions per week. However, pace is entirely flexible. Learners who want to accelerate can do so; those who need more time on a particular concept are fully supported. There is no artificial deadline or pressure to rush.
